Skt. Josef’s International School in Roskilde is seeking an experienced, skilled and committed Early Primary teacher to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position starting in June or August 2026 (depending on availability).

You will play a key role in developing pupils’ early literacy skills and helping them build a strong foundation for future learning.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver high-quality English and phonics instruction in Early Primary
· Support pupils’ progression from early reading skills to fluency and comprehension
· Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
· Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
· Collaborate closely with colleagues across year groups and departments
· Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
· Contribute actively to the wider life of the school.

We are Looking For Someone Who:
· Has strong professional foundations
· A recognised teaching qualification
· Experience in Early Primary (Reception, Key Stage 1, or equivalent)
· Strong knowledge of phonics and early reading development
· Is a confident classroom practitioner
· Able to create structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environments
· Uses a variety of teaching strategies to support all learners
· Works well with others
· Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
· Contributes actively to team collaboration
· Thrives in an international setting
· Fluent or native-level English proficiency
· Experience with, or openness to, international curricula (e.g. Cambridge) .
Recruitment Process:
